The results of their study showed that characteristics associated with ADHD can result in negative attitudes and stigma from other children, causing problems with peer relationships. Director and producer Ellen Goosenberg Kent has earned many awards for her television documentaries on children (www.hbo.com). Kent’s documentary is not as much informational, as it is inspiring and eye opening. It characterizes children with learning disabilities in a different light than they are used to by highlighting what they can do, rather than what they struggle with. This documentary is a perfect example of how people can overcome the challenges they face in everyday life by just having a positive outlook.
